How to Submit Your Story

This is your chance to open up about your first love. It could be something heartbreaking, funny, inspiring or even raunchy. You could look back in time to when you fell in love for the first time and reflect on what your learned, lost or laugh about years later.  

It could be only two sentences, two paragraphs or two pages. Or if you have a lot to say, it might need to be ten pages. Whatever you want to share, we want to hear it. You don't have to share your name, and you can make-up names to hide identities. Don't be shy. Be honest. Be a little uncomfortable. And share your "first love effect" story.

Please tells us in the email if you want to share your name, initials or be anonymous.

Here are some prompts to help you get started. You can ignore them, use one or address a few. Whatever helps you to open up.

What is it about a first love that still stays with you? Good or Bad? 

What are the most lasting memories from your first love? 

Did you run into your first love later in life? What happened?

Do you think about your ex? When? Where? How often? 

Do you have what ifs? What if you were still with that person? 

Did you cheat on your first love or get cheated on? 

Are you still friends with your first love? How do you make that work?

Do you have any regrets about your first love?

Did your first love hurt you in a way that is impactful today? Does what happened during your first relationship keep you from having healthy relationships?

Did your first love provide a life lesson or teach you something? 

Did you marry your first love?  

Did you reconnect with your first love years later?

Do you wish you would have ended up with your first love?

Share you NAME or stay ANONYMOUS and where you live. How old were you when you dated? How long did it last? How old are you now? 

What you share with us may end up on the upcoming "First Love Effect" podcast, book, screenplay, film or social media. By sending us your confession, you are agreeing to releasing the rights of what you share for us to discuss or publish.
